B.E.S.T (Bringing Everyone's Strengths Together ) is a not for profit networking coalition whose goal is to positively impact Round Lake Area youth and families. B.E.S.T. offers Community Empowerment Grants designed as mini grants for community groups, student groups, not for profit organizations, and or individuals.

Since March 30, 1974 the Round Lake Area Park District has reached out to the community and provided a dynamic and caring recreational environment. The award winning district believes that parks and recreation help facilitate strong, vital and involved communities, create connection among family members, and help to promote ethnic and cultural understanding and harmony. Over the years they have expanded their programs to include support services for the communty's youth and lifelines for the elderly. The Park District now owns a total of 39 parks which encompasses over 500 acres of land for the enjoyment of area residents and the preservations of open space. This land is used for soccer, football, hiking, golfing, sledding, ice skating, cross country skiing, bike riding, tennis, playgrounds, outdoor education, even disc golf.
