Here, Eat This!

Hosts: Patty and Tim Michels
Thursdays 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Websitewww.hereeatthis.com
here.eatthis@yahoo.com

“Here! Eat This” is a radio show hosted by Patty and Tim Michels broadcast every Thursday night from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on WRLR 98.3 FM. Combining their love for cooking and entertainment they developed the unique idea for a cooking show on the radio. Re-igniting the old thought of “When Radio was King” they avoided the hot lights of the TV studio and went to the theater of the mind. Going over recipes that start out with tantalizing appetizers through to after dinner cocktails, there is also the occasional music selection and thought provoking quizes thrown in as well as some light hearted banter. The occasional restaurant review of local eateries in the Round Lake and surrounding areas are also provided. If you are looking for new and sometimes different recipe or entertaining ideas take a listen to us this Thursday night.

Improv Comedy Show

Hosts: Bob, Mike and Steve
Thursdays 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Websitehttp://improvcomedyshow.blogspot.com
E-Mail:   improvcomedyshow@comcast.net

Bob, Mike and Steve began broadcasting their radio show on WRLR in July of 2008 and since then madness and mayhem have ensued. The three hosts collectively have over 40 years experience in Improv and performance. The trio have performed Improv throughout Lake and McHenry counties with their group The Improv Squad, including entertaining the troops at Great Lakes.

Join them every Thursday as they present Improv games, skits, skewer the news, traffic, politics, you name it as no topic is free from the Improv Comedy wrath.

The show also has a plethora of characters who regularly appear on the show, like George Knowitall, the resident news expert; confidence man in residence "Sav-a-Buck with Jimmy Snooks; Musclehead Monty; Mumbles; Inez; Swami Abdul; Grampa Diggity, and the resident husband-killer Mabel. These are only some of the wacky guests who visit the show.

Also featured: old-time comedy recordings from the great comics of the past and present; the newest segment will be interviews of local and national comics as they come to the area to perform at the many comedy clubs throughout Chicagoland; a game show takeoff called American Idle; a takeoff on Antiques Roadshow called "What's it Worth?" and more to come.

In this economy we all could use some laughter and that is the aim of the Improv Comedy Show, so if you need to laugh, or you just need to feel superior to someone, then you have to tune in to the Improv Comedy Show.

"Viva la Comedy."

How does it feel to know that the world needs your talents and gifts?  How great would it feel to be looking forward and solution and strengths focused, rather than looking backward and problem and weakness focused? How great would it feel to be living your life out of inspiration rather than desperation?  Listen to “Life Outside the Box” and learn how go from where you are to where you want to be.  As your coach, my mission is to unlock your full potential by helping you re-connect your head with your heart to find the answers and direction you seek.   You’ll learn to get your ship together to create the joy, love, fun, and success that you desire in your life’s journey and you’ll do it on your terms!  Even though this might sound like a lofty goal, it really isn’t. It all comes down to one thing – you can live your life any way you choose, and the more you become aware of that, the more you are  the cause, instead of the effect of your life.

Old Time Radio - Something Old and Exciting!

We're going back to the days when prime time meant sitting in front of a tall wooden cabinet which was delivering only sound. The media center was a Philco, Zenith, or perhaps an Admiral console radio. We watched as our mental images provided the details in brilliant Hi-Definition.

Tune in your imagination and return to the classic comedies, adventures and dramas enjoyed by previous generations. You'll see for yourself that the shows are timeless.

Prime time now is on 98.3 FM WRLR Tuesday mornings at 9:00.
